Restylane® is the first
non-animal based hyaluronic acid cosmetic dermal filler that restores
volume and fullness to the skin. Hyaluronic acid already exists in the
human body to provide volume and fullness to the skin. Because
Restylane is non-animal based, there is no allergy testing required
prior to treatment.
CosmoPlast
is a comercially available human collagen filler approved by the FDA.
CosmoPlast is purified from human dermal cells. Unlike other
collagen replacement therapy, CosmoPlast does not require a pretreatment
skin test.
Cymetra® is a new form of
injectable liquid Alloderm. This product can be used to fill in facial
wrinkles, and it can also be used to enhance the volume and contour of
your lips.
Sculptra™
is injected into the skin for restoration and/or correction of the
signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) or to fill facial depressions.
It is a synthetic injectable material that does not harm the body and
is biodegradable easily able to be broken down by the body. Sculptra™, injected below the surface of the skin provides a
gradual increase in skin thickness. Visible results appear
within the first few treatment sessions. Your provider will
decide the appropriate number of treatment sessions and the amount you
will need at each session. Patients with severe facial fat loss
may require three to six treatment sessions. Treatment results
will differ for each person but are expected to last up to two years.
